Rochester Gets Ready for All-Day Kindergarten
School district produces video that shows a day in the life of a kindergarten classroom.
Wonder what kindergarten is like? A new video produced by students from Rochester and Adams high schools gives a glimpse inside a typical kindergarten classroom at Rochester Community Schools.
The video, which stars Long Meadow Elementary School's Kathy Christie and her kindergarten students, shows how the students learn and play. It was created as part of the district's outreach to parents of incoming kindergarten students; the 2012-13 school year will be the first year of all-day kindergarten in the district.
Kindergarten registration is April 12 at your child's school; for updates about the all-day kindergarten program in Rochester, follow the district's Kindergarten Facebook page.

Nicely done video from what I believe is high schoolers, who had half day kindergarten!
I will not be putting my children in a full day kindergarten program, I do have 4 of them within 5 years that will be schooled at home for kindergarten. Half day is just about the limit for me as the child is not ready for this large step away from the family.

Peter, I'm with you! Very distraught to have to decide where to put my son since he is not built for full day kindergarten... I'm sick over it.
