Patch Readers Suggest New Tenant for Former Flat Top Grill
The stir-fry restaurant, which closed because of "economic factors" according to a company spokesperson, left after only being open for 16 months at The Village of Rochester Hills.
The closing is disappointing to its customers who say they will miss the family dining spot.
"We loved Flat Top! So sad to see it go!" said Patch reader Meredith McCutcheon. "It was a great place to go with kids who have food allergies, and the food was always so fresh and delicious."
And now the wait is on for what will replace the restaurant.
Readers submitted their thoughts on what new establishment should take Flat Top Grill's place.
Jill Collier wrote that a Panera would be a great replacement, and Charlie Wollborg wrote that he would like Baja Fresh to return.
"I would love to see something different that we don't already have in Rochester Hills," wrote Laura Dinsmoor. "For example Cajun/Creole or Vietnamese cuisine."
A reader posting as Trish said she would like to see a market with good meat and seafood.
"Some type of coney island would be great as well," she said. "Or a comfy sports bar with good burgers."
