The fund will provide grant-funding opportunities for school and athletic programs at the high school.

A memorial fund has been created through the Rochester Community Schools Foundation to honor Steve Shaltz, a longtime Adams High School teacher who died last week.

The fund will provide grant funding opportunities for programs, resources or services that support track and wrestling at Adams. Shaltz was an assistant coach for both sports; he taught Philosophy and History at the school.

He had been with the district since 1989, teaching at Reuther Middle SchoolWest Middle School and Brooklands Elementary School before coming to Adams.
