Longtime Adams Cross Country Coach Finishes Career With State Honors

Rochester Adams runner Stephen Biebelhausen took 7th place Saturday at the MHSAA cross country state finals.

Budd Cicciarelli is retiring after 32 years as the cross country coach at Adams High School. His coaching career ended with state honors for three of his distance runners last weekend.

  • Jamey Morrissey finished third in the state to capture her fourth all-state honor. 
  • Gabrielle Thivierge finished fifth to capture her second all-state honor. 
  • Stephen Biebelhausen finished seventh to capture his second all-state honor. 

Cicciarelli is a retired math and science teacher at Adams. He coached track for 37 years, too. He lives in Lake Orion.
