Hundreds of families participated in the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday at Rochester Municipal Park.

If you spread 9,000 eggs across their favorite outdoor playground, they will hunt, gather and laugh with joy.

That's what happened Saturday afternoon at Rochester Municipal Park, the site of the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Kensington Community Church.

The event came on the eve of the church's last day of services in Rochester; starting Friday, the church's Rochester congregation moves its headquarters from Adams High School to Lake Orion High School.

"It's bittersweet," said Carol Nowland, a Kensington member who organized the egg hunt on Saturday.

The egg hunt was free, though families were asked to bring donations of clothing and food to benefit Rochester Area Neighborhood House and God's Helping Hands.

Did you hunt for eggs Saturday? Tell us in the comments.
