VIDEO: Flash Mob Breaks Out in Dance at The Village
The event, sponsored by Talmer Bank & Trust, occurred just before the Battle of the Bands during the Village's Back 2 School Bash.
A flash mob of more than 50 people, all clad in white T-shirts, surprised shoppers at The Village of Rochester Hills Saturday afternoon when they started line dancing in the street next to the gazebo.
The flash mob appeared just before the Battle of the Bands during the Village's Back 2 School Bash, which benefits Holiday Helpers of Rochester Hills.
The event is sponsored by Talmer Bank & Trust, which is also presenting sponsor for this year's Art & Apples festival.
"It really brought us all together in this big group, and I feel like we have new friendships that are made out of it," said Lee Davey, manager of the Shelby Township Talmer Bank & Trust.
"We're all looking forward to getting together and doing it again, and I hope that we were able to bring some entertainment to the people."

Does anybody know the name of this flash mob? Have they ever done performances like this before..or plan on doing anything like this again? I'd really love to speak with them... :)

Hi, Ali,
The flash mob was organized by Talmer Bank & Trust and featured dancers from the bank as well as dancers from a line dancing studio. I don't know if they have any more performances coming up, but Lee Davey (quoted in this story) at the Shelby Twp. branch of Talmer Bank & Trust would be the person to talk to, I think. :)

Well, as the shirts read - you can tango with your bank or cha-cha with Talmer. I choose to cha-cha with Talmer. And, remember, you can call Lee for FREE.

I was part of the flash mob. It was made up of employee's from Talmer Bank, our Choreographer Darren's ball room dancing students and the majority were from "Hooked on Country Dancin" taught by Kathy & Herb Dula. Please call Lee Davey at Talmer Bank 25 MIle and Van Dyke Branch for more information and let him know how much you enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun and met so many wonderful people doing it. Kathy M

I've never been in a flash mob but it's on my short list to do someday ! Sounds like so much fun, I wish I could've caught the one at the Village.
