Firefighters from Rochester Hills and Rochester fought this garage fire on Monday afternoon north of Auburn Road.

Rochester Hills Fire Chief Ron Crowell praised the firefighters from his department and the city of Rochester who responded to a garage fire on Monday afternoon north of Auburn Road.
Firefighters were called to the fire on Harrison Street at 2 p.m.; when the first truck arrived on the scene, the garage was fully engulfed in flames, Crowell said.
"The firefighters on the scene did an outstanding job keeping the flames from spreading to the house," he said.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire was unknown.
