Everyone's a Movie Reviewer: Tell Us Your Favorite From the Past Year — and Win!
It's the end of the movie awards season, and we're giving away a $25 Emagine gift card for your movie recommendations.
Movies are all the talk right now.
Whether you loved one of this year's Best Picture nominees or found a hidden gem on demand, we want to hear about your favorite movie this past year. And we'll reward you for it: we'll pick a comment at random and give the commenter a $25 gift card to see more movies at Emagine Theatre.

I guess it would have to be Mission Impossible. That's the only one we saw in the theaters this year.

I really enjoyed the newest Muppet movie for its simplicity and the fact that it reminded me of enjoying the previous Muppet movies with my kids when they were much younger.

The Ides of March - it was an excellent movie and filmed right here in Michigan, employing many people as Extras and providing a lot of work for businesses in the area!

Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Loved the book and didn't expect to love the movie (didn't get great reviews) but I did. Heart-wrenching but ultimately uplifting.

"The Artist" is engaging, funny, sad, touching. Berenice Bejo and Jean Dujardin light up the screen. See it in a theater that has good sound. Yes, I know it's a silent film, but the sound quality is important nonetheless. You'll understand once you see it.

50/50. Not a huge hit at the movie theater. However, I have not had an emotional response like that to a movie in a long time. I laughed and cried. Wonderful movie.

Arthur Christmas - a great fun and heartwarming story with perfect timing and it made me homesick for my family back in the UK where it is set...My kids want the DVD in their stocking next Christmas so we can watch it again......

It is a triple tie:) The Help, J Edgar, and 50/50.....All were amazing and unique:) I love going to The Emagine Theater...best thing that ever happened to Rochester Hills. It is clean, spacious, friendly, and the drinks are tastey too! My husband goes to the movies once a year....I love to go with friends:) He wanted to see J Edgar (would not have been my selection), we had a great date and the movie was informative and spot on. I loved it! Thanks, Patch

Bridesmaids..while the title suggests "chic flic", the content is a hysterical autopsy of the wedding process, and the self imposed drama created by the ladies. The internal catfighting of whose the real BFF and a "road trip" that makes the hangover look like a weekend at Bernies! Laughed til I cried at parts!

Midnight in Paris! Fantastic to see a Woody Allen movie with someone else (Owen Wilson) playing the Woody Allen character. Much more enjoyable, with all the wit, bite, and intellect of a Woody Allen flick. Plus -- marvelous acting from Kathy Bates and so many more who brought an entire generation of artists to life.
