Crepes Coming to Village of Rochester Hills

Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee is third restaurant set to open this fall.

Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee, named for its owner's love of Breakfast at Tiffany's and all things Audrey Hepburn, will open a second area restaurant this fall in the Village of Rochester Hills.

The Shelby Township-based shop features crepes, coffee and other treats.

Hepburn's will locate in the spot recently vacated by Tying the Knot pretzel shop, behind Max & Erma's in the outdoor shopping mall.

It is the third new restaurant coming to the Village this fall: Chipotle and Flat Top Grill are also moving in.

"The most successful centers blend best-in-class retailers with 'destination' restaurants,” said Scott Aikens, vice president of the Robert B. Aikens & Associates group that owns the Village.

"Our retail base remains strong and the addition of a proven restaurant brand like Chipotle and a distinctive establishment like Hepburn’s allows us to do that.”

The original Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee is at 52957 Van Dyke, Shelby Township.

You can read a review of the restaurant in the Shelby-Utica Patch:  Newly Opened Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee is More Than Your Average Cafe.

It will take a lot to rise above the "Give Thanks" pastries and Ella coffee offered every morning in the downtown bakery IMHO...

Just learned that Hepburn's will have a cart (with crepes, presumably) at the Village Art Fair this weekend — if you are inclined to have a sneak peek.

Also, the owner of Hepburn's just started making Crepe wedding cakes. I saw a picture -- absolutely beautiful!

They haven't even been open for a year and a half...Why are they expanding already? I haven't heard many good things about them, and based off of half their online reviews and my recent visit there, they're not doing too well...Guess we'll see what happens.
