Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee Shop Open at The Village
New cafe features crepes, both sweet and savory.
You're not just imagining that you smell fresh baked goodness in the air at The Village of Rochester Hills.
That's Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee, named for its owner's love of Breakfast at Tiffany's and all things Audrey Hepburn. It is now open behind Max & Erma's in The Village.
Owner Deanna Birg said she considered this week a "soft opening" for the cafe, which is a version of one located on Van Dyke in Shelby Township. Hours in Rochester Hills are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.
Hepburn's features crepes, coffee and other treats. Not unlike a northern Michigan fudge shop, the crepes are made in the window for passers-by to admire.
It is the second new restaurant to open at The Village this fall: Flat Top Grill opened in September. Next up: Chipotle, in the spot recently vacated by Cosi. Chipotle should be open by the end of the year, according to Village management.
You can read a review of the restaurant in the Shelby-Utica Patch: Newly Opened Hepburn's Crepe and Coffee is More Than Your Average Cafe.

Any idea if they have any dairy free items? Soy for the coffee?
Special crepes?

I know they serve soy, but not sure about for crepes. I love visiting the Shelby location.

My favorite crepe is the Pepard. I was lucky enough to be at the Shelby store when Deanna was testing out bakers for the new store, so I got to try a lot of the sweets before anyone else. Simply delicious!

My crepe was lovely, but disappointing not to see even one highchair to use and no baby changing facilities in the restroom. Seeing as she is located in such a popular and stroller/baby/kid friendlyshopping area, I think the owner's made a big oversight. She told me, "it's too small for highchairs in here." She added that hr other restauruant had a highchair for my son. I'll be lunching instead at Chomp downtown Rochester, which is smaller square footage, but has plenty of highchairs and a change table in the bathroom. Plus super friendly accommodating staff. I know where I'm not wanted!

it was the worst meal that we have had in a long time. staff at rochester hills location did not even acknowledge you as we stood to be waited on, then when served, stood at the counter staring at you while you ate. very creepy, and truly i couldn't eat my meal, and my husband was sick afterwards. will never ever return
