5 Events You Won't Want To Miss This Week

Here are some events that are worth planning ahead for this week.

 

There's lots going on in Rochester, Rochester Hills and Oakland Township this week and weekend. Here are some highlights. For more events, see our Events section on Patch. Are we missing something? Recommend an event in the comments here.

Rochester College Band Concert

The first half of the program will consist of Poet and Peasant by Von Suppe, Lux Arumque by Eric Whitacre and the Italian Rhapsody by Julie Giroux. The second half of the concert will be holiday-oriented.

Art, Book & Gift Fair

The Oakland Center at Oakland University will host a craft show with art, books, hand crafted and seasonal items. Just in time for the holidays!

The details: Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free admission.

Breakfast with Santa

Santa wants you to join him for pancakes and sausage at the Rochester Community House; be sure to bring a camera for all of the photo opportunities.

The details: Saturday from 9-11:00 a.m. Call to reserve a spot at 248-651-0622. Tickets are $3 for 12 and under and $6 for 12 and up.

Gingerbread House Workshop

Whole Foods Market will provide the gingerbread house, icing and candy so you can create a gingerbread masterpiece. Let your kids get creative without all of the mess at home.

The details: All ages. Call 248-371-1400 to register. $19.99.

Used Book Sale

The Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library will hold their Holiday Book Sale. You will find great deals on gently used books that will make excellent holiday gifts, for yourself or someone else!

The details: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
