1,300 Customers Without Power on Rochester Hills, Troy Border

It is not known when power will be restored to the affected homes.

More than 1,300 DTE Energy customers in the neighborhoods surrounding the intersection of South Boulevard and Coolidge Highway are without power Tuesday evening after a transformer blew, knocking out power to a large area on the Rochester Hills-Troy border.

Power has been out to the area since about 9 p.m.; as of 11 p.m., there is no estimated restoration time, according to the DTE Energy outage map.

Power was also out earlier Tuesday evening in the area of South Boulevard between John R and Rochester roads, though power was restored quickly to the affected areas.

The power is restored in this area; it looks like there are a few other sporadic power outages due to transformer problems in the Avon/Old Perch area and Tienken/Adams area.
