Wish Child Will Help Light the Village of Rochester Hills
A 4-year-old Oxford boy will help light up the Village of Rochester Hills on Friday night in a ceremony that will also welcome Santa to the outdoor shopping center for the season.
It's the 10th year of the holiday lighting event, which begins at 7 p.m. with a mini Christmas parade down the Village's main street. This year, 500,000 lights have been strung throughout the Village.
Will, the Oxford boy who will have the honor of flipping the light switch, is a Rainbow Connection wish child. He is in remission from a fight with leukemia.
Radio Disney and other entertainment will join in the festivities.
