The following news was submitted by the Friends of the Rochester Hills Public Library:
Mystery and mayhem will take center stage at the Rochester Hills Public Library on Jan. 14. It seems that an eccentric millionaire, who has designs on giving away his fortune in our fair community, has turned up missing! But
only those who attend the Friends of the Library Mystery Dinner will learn his whereabouts. The hilarious show, “What Happened to Hal Monie?” will be performed by local professional actors and interns from Meadow Brook Theater.
Guests will enjoy wine and appetizers in the library lobby before entering the dining area. Once seated, they will be entertained while enjoying a three course catered dinner complemented by wine, coffee, tea and soft drinks. The play will weave its way through the various courses of the dinner, with surprises and laughter all along the way.
“We heard such great compliments about the library as a venue for our recent 50th anniversary gala that we decided to capitalize on its popularity for the Mystery Dinner,” said Ron Meegan, chairman of the event. “There’s plenty of
room and it’s a relaxing, comfortable setting.”
You won’t want to miss out on the fun. Tickets are $55 per person, and seating is limited. Tables seat 8 people. You can assure that you and your friends sit at the same table by submitting your checks all together. Reservations must be made by Jan. 6.
