Reach Out and Read Program at Kidz 1st Pediatrics
Mayor Bryan Barnett paid a visit to the waiting room at Kidz 1st Pediatrics to read to children as part of the Reach Out and Read Program.
The Reach Out and Read Program is a literacy program that presents free, new, age appropriate books to children at their 6 month - 5 year old pediatric health care visits.
Kidz1st Pediatrics is the first program of its kind in Northern Oakland County and one of 100 in the state of Michigan. Dr. Jay Mitchell, Dr. Silvia Operti - Considine, Nurse Practitioner Christina Ritter and Physicians Assistant Meghan Matuszak are happy to be a part of this program.
