Michael Behrmann has been named as the principal of Van Hoosen Middle School. Behrmann has been with the district for 13 years and served as the principal of North Hill Elementary for the past 10 years. Prior to that he was principal at Brewster Elementary School for three years.

Behrmann began his administrative career with the Oxford Area Community Schools as an elementary principal where he served for four years.  He also taught several years in the Walled Lake Consolidated Schools as a sixth grade teacher and special educator.

Behrmann was selected following a process that included application and interviews with a committee consisting of administrators, staff members and PTA parents.
