Holy Family Students Share Gifts of Kindness and Comfort
As the community prepared for the Christmas season of giving, students at Holy Family Regional School in Rochester joyfully participated in the school’s annual Teddy Bear Drive.
The more than 650 teddy bears collected in December were donated to 7 hospitals and will spread comfort throughout the coming year to children who are hospitalized or visit an emergency room. Several bears were also given to area nursing homes as well as the Rochester Fire Department.
In addition to the teddy bear collection, students also participated in numerous other community service projects. Some highlights included: Holy Family third grade students making special Christmas stockings filled with gifts which they delivered in person to students at Clark Elementary School in Detroit. The entire Holy Family community also generously collected and donated
thousands of dollars to benefit our local Catholic Community Response Team (CCRT) and Catholic Charities USA.
Holy Family Regional School is a Catholic elementary school educating students in grades Young 5 through grade 8 at campuses located in Rochester and Rochester Hills. School information is available at www.holyfam.org
